About us

 

We discovered Wigtown a few years ago on our frequent travels to Scotland and fell in love with this wonderful place. Our dreams finally became a reality in August 2018 when we bought Craigmount, and set about re-opening it as a place we would like to stay in ourselves.

With help and guidance from local suppliers, including Ada Montgomery at Moonbeans and Magic who transformed all the old furniture we inherited with the house and gave us many wonderful ideas, Willy Lindsey our excellent local butcher and local artists, Emily Nash and Kevan McGinty whose art adorns our are walls, Craigmount aims to make your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Breakfast is served in our Dining Room and offers a choice of delicious locally sourced produce from award winning butchers and farmers, and our own greenhouse and garden.

Secure, indoor bike-storage and drying facilities are also available at no extra charge.

The cosy Guest lounge has comfy sofas, blankets for the chilly nights, lots of local interest information, books and boardgames and a smart TV.

Glasses are provided for your choice of tipple, should you wish to stay in and unwind.
