About us

We discovered Wigtown a few years ago on our frequent travels to Scotland and fell in love with this wonderful place. Our dreams finally became a reality in August 2018 when we bought Craigmount, and set about re-opening it as a place we would like to stay in ourselves.

With help and guidance from local suppliers, including Ada Montgomery at Moonbeans and Magic who transformed all the old furniture we inherited with the house and gave us many wonderful ideas, Olly McKie our young eggman, Willy Lindsey our excellent local butcher, Derek Little our multi talented local painter and decorator and local artists, Emily Nash and Kevan McGinty whose art adorns our are walls, Craigmount aims to make your stay with us as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
