Craigmount Guest House provides an ideal base for exploring not only the many bookshops of Wigtown, but also a wide range of sites, experiences and activities around the Machars and Wigtownshire.  With a variety of cafés, restaurants and public houses, there will always be something to tempt your palete.

History abounds in Wigtown with the story of the Martyrs, the birthplace Christianity in Britain, Standing Stones and Castles a plenty.  You can while away a day in one of the many gardens and estates, sample a dram from the most Southerly Scottish Distillery, take the Real Ale trail or for the more active, sports such as Angling, Shooting, Sailing and Mountain Bike riding are just some of those available on the doorstep.
